So many things went into today's giant haul I don't know where to start. I found out a few days ago while checking out at the Budwey's 20% off everything sale last week that starting today 7/20 everything would be half off. I had the kids waiting in the car and it was getting late no time to go in and price check things. They are not honoring the Budwey's ads at this time because they will soon be a Top's Market's so there is no way to know what the deals would possibly be or what would be left in the store by Sunday. I then yesterday decided to go out to Budwey's and case the store so to speak. I took my ten yr old and a notepad and went to the store. I am very good at remembering what there is coupons on so I just went methodically through every aisle writing down regular prices of items. This took over an hour. I then took that list home and went at it as if it were an ad that I was matching. I took the price divided it in half and then checked for coupons in the data bases I use HERE and HERE for match ups along with my own site's search box (I type in all inserts except P and G into the site.) I knew the 50% came off before coupons so I knew free and better then free was possible. For instance Mama Rosies Ravioli's are $2.49 reg price, divide that in half and you are at $1.25 print out the $1/2 printable coupon and pay $.75 each. Anyways when I was done going through the list which was arranged in order of the store aisle by aisle I decided what to get and put the coupons in an envelope as I put items on the list all in the order of the store aisle's. Then I took the envelope with me and if the items were not available in the store it was easy to pull out the coupons I wouldn't use as I went through the store. In the end all the prepping a total of about 6 hours made this all worth it 3 cart loads a retail value of $588 for just $148 plus tax and deposit!!
