Ok I should have started here ever looked at a set of matchups and said WHAT???????? The abbreviations are many and to me this far into it seem normal I even have my own sometimes lol I will add them at the end.
1.) first any number like this 1/1 the sequence for the coupon is
coupon value/off how many of a product
2.)Instant savings- Instant savings means when you reach the amount you have to buy like save 5 instantly when you buy 5 it comes off the order before you pay as long as you buy 5 of the items
3) Catalina a coupon that prints out during your purchase or just after for use on your next order (we will get into the types of these in my next blog)
3) abbreviations
OYNO=on your next order (usually in the form of a catalina coupon)
BOGO= buy one get one free ( we will get into different stores and store policies on coupon use during these sales in a later blog)
BOGO50% = buy one get the second half off (if you use a buy one get one coupon on this kind of sale they usually will deduct the half priced item from your order)
B1G2= buy one get 2 free (tricky cause tops for instance will only accept coupons on the ones you buy so if you get just 3 you cant use a 1 off 2 coupon you would have to get 6 so you are paying for 2
WYB= when you buy (usually used in a sale where if you buy one thing you get another free or if you buy in quantity you will save so much instantly)
CTC coupon= click to card coupon (a coupon you must register your account online and go to coupons and click to add to card)
Printable coupon= usually in a matchup highlighted in a different color means you need to click the link and then print that coupon to use it 90% of these are 2 prints per person or per device not per printer but per computer and cell tablet etc if you have a wireless printer also can be printed at a library or some office max and other office locations
MC= manufacturer coupon you can only use 1 for each amount stated on the coupon so if you hace a 1 off 2 of a product coupon you can get 2 and take a dollar off the cost if you only have one coupon you cant get 4 and use the coupon to take it off every 2 that you get without more coupons
SC=store coupon usually you can use one of these and a MC together to get 2 tines as much savings on an item
SS- smart source so if you see 10/13 ss it means the coupon they are talking about is in the October 13th smartsource (found in sunday papers and in other states sometimes Wednesdays not in NY or PA as far as I know)
RP- again if you see 10/13 rp it means its in the redplum insert for that dates paper
PG or P&G = its the dame if you see 10/13 pg it means the October 13th proctor and gamble
Specific stores have their other coupons which we will get into later in this blog feel free to ask anything in the comments about this or something you don't see
