Thanks for all who responded to my post on donating things and the idea to put together a list of places that really can use donations to help people and animals in need of the things we sometimes as couponers get free. This is a list of places that distribute food and other necesities to people and animals who are in need of it. This list should make it easier for you to make pick up arrangements of drop off times to donate the items you may get that you do not use but got free or cheap with coupons:
Below is a list of many pantries with phone numbers you can call to see when and where you can drop off a donation in WNY the list below is the ones closer to me but if you CLICK HERE you can enter your zipcode and get a list closest to you with a map of the location.
If you CLICK HERE there is a listing of shelters most of these also need donations to provide meals some are specific in what they need for instance the Buffalo City Mission has a list HERE I will be sending some razors their way this week myself since it is on the list.
And donating doesnt stop with people go here to see a list of what the SPCA needs to care for the homeless pets they care for.
Another group of people who could really use some help as a reader mentioned is the local community colleges have students who really are trying to better their lives and trying to afford school and everything else for a list of community colleges In New York GO HERE.
