This is another one of those personal posts but if this one helps just one of you out it is worth the post. Many companies say they have programs to help people this way or that way and in my experience it is rarely the case. Normally you have to go through hoops send 800 faxes then make 3000 phone calls all to find out you have wasted your time. I am very happy this is not one of those cases. Not many of my readers are aware of this but my mom has COPD. The medications they use to treat this are very very pricey. With the insurance that is considered indsurance and a deductible of more then $2500 there is just no way to be able to afford a $500 prescription bill every month for 6+ Months of the yr.
This started about a month ago I took my mom to go get her Budesonide Generic filled and a few other scripts. It was the first time with the reset dedutible needing to be met before you can get any coverage the amount was over $600. And we had to leave without the much needed vials for the nebulizer machine. There had to be another way and after serching the Generic that is in Germany I came to find out Budesinide is the fancy name for Pulmicort. So after this I looked to see who was the manufacturer of the name brand and it was AstraZenica. I know you have all seen the commercials about how they can help. I honestly didnt think they would but I got the website info found by CLICKING HERE and after she looked it over and checked the Medication list they will help with FOUND HERE the application PDF is found by clicking here you can print it right out. It is 4 pages but dont let that scare you. One page is all instructions and one you fill out and its very basic info nothing much required. The rest you take to your doctor and they fill out and also can fax for you!!! In my moms case she was over the income so she thought prob no way they would help and then today it happened!!!!! Below you will see they sent her a 3 month supply of medication and will be automatically sending it via fedex for the next yr!!!!! I have nothing but great things to say about them right now so if you know someone struggling to pay for medications search the generic and if the name brand med is made by AstraZenica then you may get a box too!!!! They just faxed this over less then a week ago so it doesnt take long at all!!!!!!
